SUMMARY:Emergency Preparedness Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Are you and your family prepared for an emergency? Join the City of Chino Hills for a free Emergency Preparedness Workshop on Thursday\, September 18\, at 6:00 pm at the Chino Hills Community Center\, located at 14250 Peyton Drive. Informational booths will begin at 6:00 pm\, with the presentations starting at 6:30 pm. \nResidents will hear from the City of Chino Hills\, Chino Valley Fire District\, and Chino Hills Police Department\, along with experts from major wireless carriers. Learn practical steps you can take to: \n\nBuild an emergency kit and safely store food and water.\nUnderstand evacuation terminology\, protocols\, and re-entry procedures.\nProtect your home with proper wildfire defense zones.\nHarden your home and see real-world examples of how measures proved effective during the January wildfires in Los Angeles.\nStay connected during emergencies or outages through cell service\, Wi-Fi\, and more.\n\nVarious other community partners and local agencies will be in attendance and available to provide emergency preparedness information\, such as American Red Cross\, Chino Hills Auxiliary Radio Team\, Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A.\, LifeStream\, Southern California Edison\, and SoCalGas. \nAt the end of the presentation\, attendees will receive a free desktop phone stand while supplies last\, and raffle prize winners will be announced.
