SUMMARY:Household Hazardous Waste Collection
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District\, the City’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program provides residents of Chino and San Bernardino County with a safe and convenient way to dispose of common household chemicals free of charge. HHW Collection events are held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 8 am to 1 pm and closed on the 4th Saturday in December at the Public Works Service Yard. \nRegularly scheduled events are subject to change. \nDuring every visit\, participants are limited to disposing 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous materials in containers no larger than 5 gallons. Business waste and sharps are not accepted.

It’s available FREE to Chino Residents at the upcoming Compost & Mulch event. \nFriendly Reminders \n\nFirst Come First served to Chino Residents (Be prepared to show identification and utility bill).\nResidents are limited to 1/2 yard of each material depending on availability.\nBring a shovel and durable containers to load and transport material.\nGloves and eye protection are recommended.\nNon-Chino residents can attend during the last hour of event if materials are still available.\n\nMore about Mulch \nThese products do not contain chemicals and are produced using the residential green waste stream that consists of grass clippings and tree shrub trimmings courtesy of Viramontes Express\, Red Star Fertilizer and the Inland Empire Regional Composting Authority. \nThe Compost does not contain viable weed seeds or plant pathogens and is blended to help with water penetration and moisture retention. \nFor more information\, please call 909-334-3282. \n\n\nFree Compost and Mulch Giveaway Sept (PDF)
