The San Bernardino County Museum invites families, educators and curious visitors of all ages to Arthropalooza: Ultimate Bug Fest, a lively hands-on event celebrating insects, arachnids and other small-but-mighty arthropods. The festival takes place at the museum in Redlands on Mar. 21 and Mar. 22, and at the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley on Mar. 28.

Arthropalooza is a bold celebration of the tiny creatures that power our planet. Through close-up encounters, hands-on activities and interactive exploration, the festival invites guests to discover how arthropods shape ecosystems and sustain life in ways that often go unnoticed. Designed for curious minds of all ages, Arthropalooza blends scientific insight with playful discovery, transforming everyday perceptions of “bugs” into moments of wonder.

From iridescent wings to powerful pincers, visitors will have opportunities to explore specimens, observe live arthropods and participate in guided activities that highlight how these organisms support pollination, food systems and ecological balance. Educators and bug enthusiasts will be on hand to share stories, answer questions and help visitors look a little closer at the world beneath their feet.
